Teaching
Kerstin Fahr devotes herself to teaching with great enthusiasm. The combination of musical aspects, their technical execution and questions of historically informed interpretation are very important to her. Her teaching also focuses on contemporary repertoire for the recorder.
After several years of teaching recorder and methodology at the HfMDK Frankfurt, she has been teaching recorder, chamber music and historical informed performance practise at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Lucerne School of Music, hslu) since 2023 and was appointed professor there in 2024. She has been teaching recorder and chamber music at the Conservatoire de Lausanne since 2019.
